The Staff Selection Commission is going to start the examination procedure for recruiting the prospective candidates in the year 2021. Although the notification has been published already on the website www.ssc.nic.in . SSC CHSL is conducted every year for the posts of- lower division clerk, postal assistance, junior secretariat assistant, data entry operator and sorting assistance. CHSL stands for Combined Higher Secondary Level.

Let’s take quick look at the tentative dates set aside by the authority for Tier-1:

Exam Pattern:

Apart from the above pattern, there are also some alterations in the new pattern that students should a note of:

• Descriptive test of 100 marks. It would be a pen paper based test and time allotted for the same is 60 minutes.
• The time limit for tier-1 tests has also been reduced to 60 minutes from 75 minutes (earlier).
• There is no sectional cut off
• There is no change in tier-3.

1. General Intelligence:

Semantic analogy, symbolic operations, number analogy, figural analogy, trends, semantic classNameification, space orientation, number classNameification, Venn diagrams, drawing inferences, pattern folding-unfolding, semantic series, embedded figures, problem solving, critical thinking, word building, emotional intelligence, coding-decoding, social intelligence, numerical operations.

2. General English:

Fill in the blanks, spot the errors, spelling detections, antonyms, synonyms, homonyms, idioms and phrases, sentence improvement, direct-indirect narration, active voice and passive voice, jumbled sentences, comprehension, cloze test.

3. Quantitative Aptitude::

Statistical charts, trigonometry, mensuration, geometry, algebra, number system, fundamental arithmetic calculations.

4. General Awareness:

History, geography, polity, economic, scientific research, current affairs.
